What is the difference between wired and
wireless cameras?
The main difference between wired and
wireless cameras is that a wired camera will
have cables that run from the camera to the
video input jacks on your recording or display
devices. Wireless cameras have a built in
transmitter that sends the video straight to the
recording device via a video signal.
Is a special recorder or monitor needed?
Any recording or viewing device with video input
can be used. Some common examples would be
a VCR, TV, camcorder or a computer.
How long can the cameras record?
The length of recording depends on the recording
device and not on the camera. A standard
VCR tape T-200 can record up to 10 hours. There are also other types of media that can
record between 24 to 960 hours without needing
to be changed.
Can a camera begin recording via a motion
detection or a schedule?
Yes, the camera operation can begin either after
detecting motion or through a pre-defined
schedule.
How can I access my video from a remote
location?
You are able to access your video through a
standard modem connection or through a high
speed internet/intranet connection.
